Our plans for the Recycling-House!
The plans for our project "Mahenzo goes Green" are almost done. Our Recycling-House will be build from glas and plastic bottles. With this method it will not just benefiting the environment, we are also able to build with the community and more over look special :)

The Schmitz-Stiftungen agreed to support our project at the Mahenzo School. We are really thankful for this assurance. The Schmitz-Stiftung was founded by Werner Peter Schmitz-Hille in 1985. Since then they have been actively trying to make a change all over the world. We are super thankful that this time our work will be supported! THANKS ALOT!

Last weekend we had the opportunity to join "Der grüne Kiez" during the Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin. Next to good music, great food & amazing weather we had the opportunity to meet new and old friends of our work. Thanks to the Team of Lollapalooza & Der Grüne Kiez for an amazing time!

.... Pendo Kenia!!!! We are super thankful for winning the KENAKO AWARD for the second time. The "Messe der Brückenbauer" during the KENAKO-Festival in Berlin is a opportunity for non-profit organisations and charities to present their projects to the public. After two days of exchanging interesting ideas and listening to really awesome projects the jury gave the "KeNaKo Award" to Pendo. We are super happy about this great appreciation. We truly wish all the nice projects and people who were there all the best. All together we will make a change!!!
Introducing our new project: MAHENZO GOES GREEN!
We are super excited to introduce our new project "Mahenzo goes Green!" With this project we intend to build the first ECO-School in Kenya. Our aim is to build a school which is completely sustainable from A to Z. It will be an amazing atmosphere for the children to learn, a great opportunity for the families to connect and work and last but not least a place to bring people and nature closer to each other. Pendo in Munich!!
From the 2nd till the 5th of June Pendo will be part of the Africa Days at the Theresienwiese in Munich. In between good music and food you will find us waiting for you to have a interesting chat about our dreams and targets. On the 11th and the 12th of June the "Messe the Brückenbauer" will be in the Mandela-Tent of the KENAKO Event. Organizations like Pendo will have the opportunity to present their projects and targets. We would be happy if you pass by to have a chat with us and to and enjoy the Afrika Festival 2016. Volunteers painting Classrooms
That looks great! Our volunteers refreshed the design of the walls in a classroom. A colourful and fun look that makes it easy to learn the alphabet!
Washrooms & Toilets in Mgandini almost done!
Finally! The Washrooms and Toilets at Mgandini School are getting build. Thanks to a group of 5 friends who raised all the money by themselves. After the money was raised they flew to Kenya to help with the construction work in Mgandini. A great project which we are so thankful for! Read more about it!
Music Class for Mahenzo
In February Anna from Germany visited us at Mahenzo School. She brought a E-Piano and some flutes to teach classes 1 and 2. The children really enjoyed it. At the end they had a little concert infront of the whole school. After this project the piano and flutes will be relocated to other schools so that other children can also learn and express themselves musically.
Permaculture Workshop
In January we offered a workshop for our farmers and communities. The topic was permaculture which helped them understand a more natural concept of farming activities. After theory classes we went to practise at our farm in Mahenzo. A wonderful time supported by the Permaculture Research Institude in Nairobi. Read more about it!
